Summit Project Mission

 Nevada Women’s Fund is dedicated to advancing wage parity and workplace equality. 

​

Each year, Nevada Women's Fund Board of Directors commits significant resources to initiatives that foster career development, professional growth, and equitable workforce participation for women. By targeting these areas, Nevada Women's Fund strives to close the gap between educational attainment and economic equity, enabling women to achieve their full potential and participate in the workforce on an equal footing with their male counterparts. 

Summit Project Guidelines

The Summit Project funds will support projects aligned with these goals, with awards ranging from $500 to $10,000 available throughout the year.

For a request to be considered, please take a moment to read the following guidelines: 

​

Your organization must be based in the State of Nevada and benefit women in northern Nevada. 

​

• Your project must benefit career advancement for women. Those projects that contain a meaningful role for Nevada Women’s Fund will be given preference for funding. 

​

• Your organization may only receive Summit Project funding once per calendar year. 

​

• Summit Project funds may not be used to reimburse prior expenses. 

​

• Requests received by email, regular mail, fax, phone, etc. will not be accepted. 

​

• Your organization must submit your request online via this link

In addition to Nevada Women’s Fund’s Summit Project and its focus on wage parity, the organization will also spotlight International Women’s Day with a daylong celebration. This event aims to empower women and inspire the community to actively participate in efforts that promote equitable opportunities for all women, fostering a culture of inclusion and progress.

In celebration of International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, Nevada Women’s Fund is launching a special initiative to recognize the best places to work for women in Northern Nevada. As part of this effort, we are conducting a survey to better understand how companies like yours are supporting women, addressing women’s issues, and fostering healthy work environments for all employees.

We invite HR professionals and company representatives to share insights into their organization's practices, policies, and culture by completing this survey. Your input will help us gather valuable information on the innovative strategies that companies are employing to create workplaces that empower women and advance gender equity. Survey responses will not only showcase your company’s efforts but will also help set new standards for workplaces across our community.

The survey results will be shared during our International Women’s Day celebration, and top companies will be highlighted for their outstanding contributions. By participating, your company has the opportunity to be recognized as a leader in supporting women and fostering inclusive work environments.
